Cat Clapping AI Template
How the cat clapping AI template works, what stays fixed in the clip, and why one prepared edit beats describing the scene from scratch.
What the template is
A cat clapping AI template is a finished clip where the owner and the pet are generated from your photos. The kitchen corner, the treat beat, the shush, the clap and the return to the owner are already locked in. Your job is to supply the photos: one of yourself and, optionally, one of your pet.
The clip runs ten seconds in a vertical 9:16 frame, which is the shape this format is normally posted in and the shape Reels, Shorts and TikTok expect.
What the template keeps fixed
The template carries everything the joke depends on:
- the set: a bright kitchen corner with a tiled floor and a beige carpeted cat post
- the beats: the owner offering a treat, then lifting a finger to shush the room
- the clap: the pet sitting up and slow-clapping with human-like hands
- the cut order: owner, treat, owner, pet, owner, kept from the source edit
- the timing: the moment each shot changes, so the clap lands on the beat
- the sound: the clap rendered with the clip
None of that is configurable, and that is the point. The parts that make the clip read as cat clapping AI are the parts you cannot accidentally break.
Why the template takes two photos
The joke only lands when the owner and the pet look like they belong together. Generating only the pet leaves a stranger in the shush beat; generating only the owner leaves a stock cat in the payoff. Filling both slots is what makes the clip read as your version of the trend.
The pet slot is optional rather than mandatory, because plenty of people want to post the format without a pet photo to hand. In that case the clapping shot keeps the animal already in the template.
What to upload
One clear, front-facing photo of yourself, and one clear photo of your pet if you want your own animal in the clap. Keep one subject per photo, use even lighting, and avoid heavy filters or anything covering the face.
For the pet, a front-on shot with the eyes open gives the model the most to work with, because it shows the face, the markings and the build at once. Crop to a single animal before uploading, and keep other pets out of the frame.
Black cat clapping AI is the most requested version, and it needs one extra habit: shoot against a lighter floor or wall so the dark silhouette separates cleanly from the background.
What the template does not do
It does not add a trending track for you. The render keeps the clap sound, and you add the song inside the app you publish from if you want a different one. It also does not let you change the room, the time of day or the order of the shots, because those are the fixed parts of the format.
Try the template
Upload your photos, keep the template, and render the clap. The examples on the landing page show the same edit with a black cat and with an orange tabby, so you can see how much of the clip stays fixed.
Two photos, one prepared edit, one slow clap.
